Who We Are
After 14 years in corporate sales and business development, the time had finally come to follow my dream of working with animals; of doing what I love to do. I needed to feel like I was making a difference in the lives of others. I needed to run with the pack. I needed to roll around on the ground with all types of dogs and get big, wet, slobbery licks all over my face. So on a hot June day in 2002, I ditched my suits, put on my sneakers and began to search for doggies that needed walkies – Decadent Dog was born.
Decadent Dog was founded with one goal in mind: to provide the finest possible care to dogs. And cats. And the occasional horse, ferret, hamster, even a 300 LB. pig! (Please note that reptiles aren’t included on the list because I’m afraid of snakes.) Pet care is a client service business; it requires a deep level of trust and responsibility along with an unabashed sense of love and caring for all animals. At Decadent Dog, we never forget our commitment to these core values and strive to be our best every day, no matter what the New England weather throws our way. Our company is built on honesty, integrity, and compassion – and an unceasing desire to meet your dog’s every need and surpass your every expectation. While we have fun doing what we do, we also take our responsibilities very seriously. We treat your dogs as our own because they really do become a part of our own Decadent Dog family. And we want you to feel secure knowing your dogs are being cared for exceptionally well while in our stead.
With our top-notch team of knowledgeable, professional, compassionate care takers, Decadent Dog seeks to provide the best to its canine clients every day. (As Founder and Top Dog, I refuse to hire just anyone to join our pack; our staff selection process is arduously selective because anyone can walk a dog, but only a select few can do it our way.)
